Your type changes to outsider with the native subtype. When you dedicate a 4th-level or higher spell slot to this invocation, you can, as a full-round action, cast a beast shape spell with a spell level one less than the spell slot you dedicate to this invocation (beast shape I with a 4th-level spell slot). Your type remains outsider with the native subtype while that spell is in effect.
