An “F” or “M” appearing in the Comp. column denotes a focus or material component not normally included in a spell component pouch.

Order of Presentation: The spells (or formulae) are listed in alphabetical order by name, except when a spell’s name begins with “lesser,” “greater,” or “mass,” in which case it is alphabetized under the second word of the spell name.

Hit Dice: The term “Hit Dice” is used synonymously with “character levels” for effects that affect a specific number of Hit Dice of creatures.

Caster Level: A spell’s power often depends on caster level, which is defined as the caster’s class level for the purpose of casting a particular spell. The word “level” in the short spell descriptions that follow always refers to caster level.

Creatures and Characters: “Creature” and “character” are used synonymously in the short descriptions.

Déjà Vu   Cause a creature to repeat its actions. PRG:OA
Ear-Piercing Scream   Deal sonic damage and daze target. UM
Endure Elements   Exist comfortably in hot or cold regions. CRB
Entropic Shield   Ranged attacks against you have 20% miss chance. CRB
Erase   Mundane or magical writing vanishes. CRB
Expeditious Retreat   Your base speed increases by 30 ft. CRB
Fabricate Disguise   Create a disguise in an instant. PRG:UI
Fumbletongue   Target cannot speak intelligently. UM
Hold Portal   Holds door shut. CRB
Hypnotism   Fascinates 2d4 HD of creatures. CRB
Ill Omen   Target rolls twice and uses worst roll. APG
Illusion of Calm   You appear to be standing still. UC
Lock Gaze   Compels the target to look only at you. UC
Mage Armor   Gives subject +4 armor bonus. CRB
Magic Aura   Alters object’s magic aura. CRB
Mask Dweomer   Hides presence of a spell from detect magic. APG
Mind Thrust I   Mentally deal 1d6 points of damage per level. PRG: OA

Shield   Invisible disc gives +4 to AC, blocks magic missiles. CRB
True Strike   +20 on your next attack roll. CRB
Unprepared Combatant   -4 on initiative and Reflex saves. UM
Unseen Servant   Invisible force obeys your commands. CRB
Ventriloquism   Throws voice for 1 min./level. CRB
Vocal Alteration   Disguise target’s voice. UM
Whispering Lore   Learn from the land itself. Elf only. ARG
Wizened Appearance   Make a target appear as an older version of itself. PRG:UI

Blood Armor   Your blood hardens when you are wounded, increasing your AC. ACG
Blood Blaze   Aura that makes injured creatures spray burning blood. ARG
Bloodbath   Cause yourself and enemies to bleed. PRG:HA
Boiling Blood   Targets take fire damage; orcs get +2 Strength. UM
Commune with Birds   You can ask birds a question. ARG
Compulsive Liar   Prevent target from speaking the truth. PRG:UI
Confess   Creature answers question truthfully or takes 1d6 damage/two levels (max 5d6). APG
Crimson Confession   Touched object or area turns skin red. ACG
Darkness   20-ft. radius of supernatural shadow. CRB
Darkvision   See 60 ft. in total darkness. CRB
Daze Monster   Creature with 6 HD or less loses next action. CRB
Deflect Blame   Blame someone else for your action. PRG:UI

Howling Agony   Screaming pain limits the target’s actions. UM

Invisibility   Subject is invisible for duration or until it attacks. CRB
Mind Thrust II   target takes 1d8 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d8). PRG: OA
Minor Image   As silent image, plus some sound. CRB
Paranoia   The target believes everyone it sees is an enemy. The target becomes hostile to all creatures, treating all creatures as enemies and only itself as an ally. PRG: OA
Resist Energy   Ignores 10 or more points of damage per attack from specified energy type. CRB
Scare   Frightens creatures of less than 6 HD. CRB
See Invisibility   Reveals invisible creatures or objects. CRB
Sense Fear   Perceive nearby creatures that are experiencing fear. Horror Adventures
Sense Madness   Determine mental disturbances in nearby creatures. Horror Adventures
Shatter   Sonic energy damages objects or crystalline creatures. CRB
Spider Climb   Grants ability to walk on walls and ceilings. CRB
Spontaneous Immolation   Target takes 3d6 points of fire damage and catches on fire. UC
Steal Breath   Pull the breath from a creature’s lungs, dealing damage and leaving it unable to speak, use breath weapons, or cast spells with verbal components. ARG
Steal Voice   Target gains the croaking spellblight. UM
Stricken Heart   Touch attack deals 3d6 damage and staggers target. ACG
Thought Shield I   You gain a +4 circumstance bonus on Will saving throws against mind-affecting effects. PRG: OA

Fly   Subject flies at speed of 60 ft. CRB
Gaseous Form   Subject becomes insubstantial and can fly slowly. CRB
Hold Person   Paralyzes one humanoid for 1 round/level. CRB
Illusory Script   Only select creatures can read text. CRB
Major Image   As silent image, plus more effects. CRB
Mind Thrust III   target takes 1d8 points of damage per caster level (maximum 10d8). PRG: OA
Resinous Skin   You gain DR 5/piercing and +4 to CMD against disarm attempts. UC

Hallucinatory Terrain   One type of terrain changes. CRB
Illusion of Treachery   Make it seem like another is also responsible for your attacks. PRG:UI
Mind Thrust IV   target takes 1d8 points of damage per caster level (maximum 15d8) and is fatigued for 1 round if it fails its save. PRG: OA
Phantasmal Killer   Fearsome illusion kills subject. CRB
Remove Curse   Frees object or person from curse. CRB
Scrying   Spies on subject from a distance. CRB
Shadow Step   Teleport from one shadow to another. UM

Feeblemind   Subject’s Int and Cha drop to 1. CRB
Hold Monster   As hold person, but any creature. CRB
Impossible Angles   Distort geometry in an area. PRG:HA
Mind Thrust V   target takes 1d8 points of damage per caster level (maximum 15d8) and is exhausted for 1 round if it fails its save. PRG: OA
Nightmare   Sends vision dealing 1d10 damage, fatigue. CRB
Persistent Image   As major image, but no concentration. CRB
Thought Shield IV   You gain a +4 circumstance bonus on Will saving throws against mind-affecting effects and stun creatures. PRG: OA
Utter Contempt   Target’s attitude worsens by two categories. UM
Waves of Fatigue   Several targets become fatigued. CRB
Wreath of Blades   Four mithral daggers speed around you, attacking nearby creatures and protecting your spellcasting from attacks of opportunity. UC
