DESCRIPTION

This spell functions like meld into stone except it allows you to meld your body and possessions into a single block of ice instead of a single block of stone.

Icebergs, glaciers, and other contiguous structures formed from compacted ice and snow are treated as a single block of ice for the purposes of this spell. The effects of the spells listed in the meld into stone description do not apply to you when you meld into ice.

However, the following spells harm you if cast upon the ice you are occupying. Any fire-based spell or effect that melts the ice expels you and deals you 5d6 points of damage. Any spell or effect able to shape the snow or ice deals 3d6 points of damage but does not expel you. Thaw (see below) expels you and then slays you instantly unless you succeed on a DC 18 Fortitude save, in which case you are merely expelled. Any spell or effect allowing another creature to pass through or burrow through the ice expels you without damage.
