This spell evokes a vertical column of cold infused with positive energy. The spell deals 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 15d6). Half the damage is cold damage, but the other half is positive energy dealing damage to evil outsiders only, though the positive energy damage is not subject to being reduced by resistance to cold-based attacks. The positive energy does not deal damage to any other creature type, nor does it heal living creatures.
