You conjure a sudden downpour of stinking black-flecked sleet, polluting whatever it touches. This functions as heavy rain. The area where the sleet falls is affected as though by putrefy food and drink. Creatures within the area suffer a -4 penalty on saving throws and skill checks to resist or treat disease and poison effects (magical or otherwise), as well as those that cause the sickened or nauseated conditions. Within 1 round, the area and all objects within it become filthy, resisting the effects of both prestidigitation and fastidiousness unless either remove disease or remove curse is first cast upon them. The bitter odor of the sleet clings to any creature or object it touches, and is treated as a strong scent. All these effects last for as long as a target remains in the sleet and for 1 hour thereafter.

Effects and abilities that modify weather apply as normal.

Tainted sleet counters and dispels purifying rain.
