A dark curtain cannot be seen through with any sort of vision, just as described in the spell shadow shield. While dimension door and similar spells bypass the curtain normally, anyone who attempts to physically pass through it immediately sustains 3d6 + 1 hp/level (maximum +20) of damage (no saving throw) and must also succeed on a Fortitude check or gain one negative level. The negative level automatically fades in one day, and there is no chance of it becoming permanent. If the spherical or hemispherical construction of the wall is used to entrap a subject, then a Reflex save means the subject was able to avoid imprisonment.
