Time-Displaced Weapon

Price +3 bonus; Aura strong transmutation; CL 17th; Weight

DESCRIPTION

A time-displaced weapon bonds to its wielder after 24 hours. Once bonded, it can be drawn as a free action and released as either a free action, a standard action, or a full-round action. When released, the weapon is immediately drawn by the wielder’s future self the next time they would draw it; it ceases to exist in the current time and cannot be grabbed or wielded by another creature except during a time stop.

If the weapon is released as a standard action, the wielder also gains the benefit of an augury spell as if it were cast for them, and the next time they draw the weapon, they gain a true strike effect as if the spell were cast for them. The wielder must ask their question of augury as they release the weapon.

If the weapon is released as a full-round action, the wielder also gains the benefit of a time stop spell as if it were cast for them.

Once the wielder has gained either benefit of releasing their sword, they cannot gain that benefit again until they rest for at least eight hours. A wielder with a temporal pool can spend 2 motes of time as they release the weapon to regain the standard action ability before they rest. A wielder with at least 1 aevum can spend 1 aevum to regain the full-round action ability before they rest.
