Description

These goggles boast expertly made lenses crafted from glacial ice fitted into a water-resistant leather frame made from sealskin. The wearer is immune to snow blindness and can see through falling snow or sleet, both magical and normal varieties, without penalty.

Whenever the wearer sees a creature with the cold subtype, the goggles instantly identify the creature as well as its special powers and vulnerabilities as if the wearer rolled a natural 20 on the appropriate Knowledge check. However, the wearer must still be trained in the appropriate Knowledge skill to use the preceding ability; otherwise, the wearer cannot identify the creature and gains no useful information from the goggles.
