This eponymous outerwear offers the same defense against the elements as an ordinary wool coat and may be substituted for the latter as part of a cold-weather outfit. While this coat offers no added protection against chilly temperatures, the handcrafted garment flaunts the wearer’s wealth and social status. If the wearer is a humanoid, the coat allows the wearer simultaneously to attempt a Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate check (made with a separate die roll for each skill check) when the wearer interacts with a fellow humanoid. When doing so, the wearer decides which skill check to use (and one corresponding effect from that skill, such as feinting with a Bluff check or gathering information with a Diplomacy check) after all three dice are rolled, but before the GM announces the results. The skill checks the wearer opts not to use are treated as if they never happened rather than as potential successes or failures. The wearer cannot use this ability more than once in any 24-hour period on the same humanoid. The wearer may also use this ability for influence checks (see “Influence”.)
