Aurora Bottle

Aura moderate evocation; CL 10th; Slot —; Price 10,800 gp; Weight 1 lb.

Description

Random electrical charges continuously course along the surface of a stoppered bottle crafted from dark glass containing flecks of iron and other magnetic metals. Dim flashes of light intermittently illuminate the bottle (once every 1d4 hours), emitting light equivalent to a torch for 1d4 minutes. The bottle can be opened once per day. When opened, the bottle releases a geomagnetic storm that creates a dazzling light show in the sky. The luminescent display emits an emanation of dim light in a 1,000-foot radius. The dim light overlaps with the prevailing lighting conditions; thus, the dim light does not counter or negate bright light, normal light, or existing dim light.

The emanation also fills the atmosphere with charged ions. All electricity-based spells and effects cast within the emanation deal 1 additional point of electricity damage per die of electricity damage. Creatures healed by electricity damage and those gaining temporary hit points or ability score increases from electricity damage also gain fast healing 2 for as long as they remain within the emanation. The emanation lasts for 10 minutes, and functions only outdoors.
