Description

This +2 hide armor is made from walrus hide. In addition to granting a +2 enhancement bonus to AC and a –2 armor check penalty attributable to its added bulk, the thick, blubbery skin absorbs blows from bludgeoning weapons and gives its wearer damage reduction of 2/piercing or slashing. Likewise, the wearer takes only half damage from constriction, falling, and being buried as well as similar crushing effects. Furthermore, on command as a standard action, walrus hide merges with the wearer, transforming him into a walrus as if using beast shape II. The wearer can remain in walrus form for 10 minutes. This duration need not be consecutive, but must be used in 1-minute increments.
