Transfer Magic Armor or Shield Special Ability (Item Mastery)

You can transfer a magic armor or shield special ability to a different suit of armor or shield.

Prerequisite(s): Magic item skill class feature, Craft (armor) 5 ranks, Use Magic Device 5 ranks.

Benefit(s): Through an 8-hour meditative ritual, you can transfer one special ability from one suit of magic armor or shield to another. The receiving armor or shield must be of masterwork quality or magical and suited for the transferred ability (for example, a suit of light armor cannot receive the bolstering ability). The transfer is permanent.

The transference ritual requires expensive materials to complete. The cost of transferring a magic armor or shield special ability is 25% of the normal cost required to add the same ability to the receiving suit of armor or shield.
