Fiery Spellcaster

You are an expert at identifying, dispelling, and countering cold-based spells and effects.

Prerequisite(s): Spellcraft 4 ranks.

Benefit(s): You gain a +4 bonus on the following checks: Spellcraft checks made to identify a spell with the cold descriptor as it is being cast, and dispel checks made to dispel a cold-based spell or effect. In addition, when you select an opponent as the target of your counterspell, and the designated opponent casts a spell with the cold descriptor, you may counter that spell by casting a spell with the fire descriptor. This spell can be no more than one level lower than the spell you are countering. It may also be of equal or greater level than the spell you are countering.
