Wandering Rock

This squat, vaguely-humanoid rock formation sprouts a pair of arms which end huge, boulder-like fists.

Clashing (Ex) Whenever an ally of a wandering rock makes a successful melee attack roll against a creature or object the wandering rock threatens, the wandering rock may make a slam attack against that same creature or object as an immediate action. Any slam attack made in this manner deals +8d6 damage. This additional damage is not multiplied on a critical hit.

Freeze (Ex) A wandering rock can hold itself so still it appears to be an inanimate rock formation. A wandering rock that uses freeze can take 20 on its Stealth check to hide in plain sight as an inanimate lump of rock.

Colossal cousins of common earth elementals, wandering rocks (also known as planctae or symplegades) are brutish louts who enjoy smashing things for the sake of smashing things. In the crude society of the planctae, pulverizing creatures and objects is both a pastime and a bonding activity. When not actively crushing things or seeking out things to crush, wandering rocks tend to sit idly around, daydreaming about crushing things.

Wandering rocks that make their way to the Material Plane from their home on the Elemental Plane of Earth have a strange fondness for oceans and lakes. Pairs or gangs of planctae often congregate in areas of shallow water, eagerly waiting for passing ships to smash and sailors to pulverize.
