Limited Blindsight (Ex) A hell beetle can perceive creatures and objects it has noticed with its scent ability as if it had blindsight with same range.

Spoor (Su) As a standard action, a hell beetle can squirt pungent fluid at a creature within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. For 1 hour, a target hit with this attack smells faintly of brimstone. For the same duration, any hell beetle summoned within 1 mile of the affected creature is instantly teleported into the open space nearest to the affected creature. If hell beetles are summoned within 1 mile of more than one affected creature, they are teleported towards the nearest affected creature.

Child-sized insects native to Hell, the creatures known as hell beetles are notorious for their ability to summon other of their own kind. A hell beetle encountered without being summoned will mark its prey with a pungent fluid which attracts summoned hell beetles and then retreat. From the safety of a nest only accessible to climbing creatures, the beetle will then summon others of its kind to pursue its marked quarry across distances as great as one mile.

Hell beetles are blind, but have an incredibly keen sense of smell. A typical hell beetle is 3 feet long and weighs upwards of 60 pounds.
