Half-Swording Style

You learn to grab the blade of your longsword, and maneuver it between the gaps of your opponent’s armor.

Prerequisite: Weapon Focus (Longsword) or Combat Expertise, Base Attack Bonus +1

Benefit: The longsword being wielded can be maneuvered for two types of attacks.

Piercing: The longsword’s damage dice is reduced to 1d6 and deals piercing damage. This ignores a number of the opponent’s armor equal to 1/2 the user’s level (maximum of reducing the opponent’s armor by 4).

Bludgeoning: The longsword’s damage dice is reduced to 1d6 and deals bludgeoning damage. This causes the opponent to make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 user’s level + Strength modifier) or they are staggered for 1 round. If the opponent fails the save by 5 or more, they are staggered for an additional round.
