Divine Learner

Divine learners use the power of the gods from many sources to control the battlefield.

The divine learner is an archetype of the pupil class.

Divine Spellcasting

A divine learner is a divine spellcaster who uses Wisdom instead of Charisma to cast spells. The divine learner draws divine spells from any divine spell list.

Unlike other divine spellcasters, a divine learner’s selection of spells is extremely limited. A divine learner begins play knowing four 0-level spells and two 1st-level spells of her choice. At each new divine learner level, she gains one or more new spells, as indicated on the oracle’s Table: Oracle Spells Known. Unlike spells per day, the number of spells a divine learner knows is not affected by her Wisdom score; the numbers on Table: Oracle Spells Known are fixed.

This replaces the pupil’s Spellcasting.

Orisons

Divine learners learn a number of orisons, or 0-level spells, as noted on the oracle’s Table: Oracle Spells Known under “Spells Known.” These spells are cast like any other spell, but they do not consume any slots and may be used again.

This replaces the pupil’s Cantrips.

Minor Channel Energy

The divine learner at 4th level and every 4 levels thereafter gains the ability to channel energy like the cleric’s channel energy ability. At 4th level the channel energy is 1d6, and at 8th level this becomes 2d6 and increases by 1d6 every 4 levels (to a maximum of 6d6 at 20th level). The saving throw for a divine learner’s channel is 10 + half divine learner level + wisdom modifier. A divine learner can channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + divine learner’s Wisdom modifier.

This replaces the pupil’s Metamagic Feats.
