Oath of Greed

Antipaladins who embrace a lavish lifestyle; these individuals want more, moreMORE! And their bottomless hunger for fame and fortune leads them down a dark and endless spiral…

The oath of greed is an archetype of the antipaladin class.

Code of Conduct

Antipaladins who follow the ways of greed always seek some way to gain more of what they desire. This doesn’t always have to be material, but their desire must be unwavering. They can never give to charity or offer to give up their own goods without good reason (ex. giving away money to someone for the reason of wanting to help them would violate the code, however loaning an individual money with the intent of the individual paying them back – with interest of course – is perfectly acceptable)

Covetous Aura (Su)

At 3rd level those who are within the presence of an oath of greed antipaladin are filled with urges of kleptomania, compelling them to steal. This can be activated as a swift action once per day, lasting a number of rounds equal to 3 + the antipaladin’s Charisma modifier. This aura is 10 feet and those within it must succeed on a Will Save (DC 10 + Antipaladin’s level + Charisma modifier) or be afflicted as if Covetous Urge had been cast upon them, using the Antipaladin’s level as the effective caster level. Unlike the spell, this effect is not language dependent and does not require material components.

This replaces Aura of Cowardice.

Profane Maneuvers (Ex)

At 3rd level and every three levels thereafter the oath of greed antipaladin becomes more skilled at performing and defending against certain combat maneuvers. The following are combat maneuvers which can be chosen:

  • Disarm
  • Steal
  • Trip
  • Grapple
  • Sunder
  • Bull Rush

Once chosen the antipaladin receives a +2 bonus on CMB checks made to perform this combat maneuver, and to their CMD against this combat maneuver. The same combat maneuver can be chosen multiple times, increasing the bonus by 2 each time. Once the antipaladin reaches 18th level they become immune to a single combat maneuver they’ve previously chosen, and increase the bonus of that same combat maneuver by 4.

This replaces Cruelties.
