Knife-Fighter

The people have always demanded a higher caliber of entertainment, beyond the slave brawls or beast baiting seen in lesser arenas. For their money, there is no greater spectacle than the precise yet furious duel between two warrior slaves, skilled combatants who have mastered the graceful art of the fighting dagger — and thus the knife-fighter was born.

Showmanship

At 1st level, the knife-fighter gains Perform (Cha) as a class skill, but loses Knowledge (dungeoneering) (Int).

Knife Mastery (Ex)

At 1st level, the knife-fighter gains the benefits of the close weapon mastery ability, but only with daggers and punching daggers. When wielding a dagger or punching dagger, she uses the brawler’s standard unarmed strike damage instead of the base damage for that weapon (for example, a 5th-level Medium knife-fighter wielding a punching dagger deals 1d8 points of damage instead of the weapon’s normal 1d4).

When attacking with unarmed strikes (and not a dagger), the knife-fighter uses the damage of a brawler four levels lower (i.e., to a minimum of 1st level, so a 4th-level Medium knife-fighter deals only 1d6 damage rather than 1d8 with her unarmed strikes).

This ability modifies unarmed strike and close weapon mastery.

Pierce Armor (Ex)

Starting at 4th level, once per day the knife-fighter can make a lightning-fast strike with a dagger or punching dagger, carefully aimed in such a way as to slide through a vulnerable part of her enemy’s armor or defenses. She must announce this intent before making her attack roll. As a standard action, the knife-fighter makes a melee touch attack against a target. If this attack hits, the target suffers 1d4 bleed damage in addition to the attack’s normal damage.

At 10th level, the knife-fighter may use this ability twice per day; at 16th level, she may use it three times per day.

This ability replaces knockout.

Brawler’s Strike (Ex)

Starting at 5th level, the knife-fighter’s brawler’s strike feature applies to daggers and punching daggers, but not to her unarmed strikes.

A Thousand Little Cuts (Ex)

At 16th level, the knife-fighter can unleash a flurry of quick jabs with her daggers that literally cover her enemy in gaping wounds. When using the brawler’s flurry ability, every successful hit she scores with a dagger or punching dagger causes a cumulative 1d4 bleed damage.

This ability replaces awesome blow.

Bloodletting (Ex)

At 20th level, the knife-fighter can explode into a tornado of flashing daggers. As a full-round action, she may use a dagger or punching dagger to make one melee attack at her highest attack bonus against each enemy within 10 feet. Each successful hit during this action also causes 1d4 bleed damage.

This ability replaces improved awesome blow.
