Necrophagic Conduit (Sorcerer Bloodline)

You were not born this way, or at least you hope not. It all started when you got close to the mysterious artifact. You started hearing voices you know telling you to do things. You began to change, slowly at first. You developed an innate capacity for magic that grew the more you listened to the voices. Why won’ t the voices stop, what is happening to you?

Class Skill: Knowledge (planes).

Bonus Spells: Lesser confusion (3rd), extreme flexibility (5th), excruciating deformation (7th), black tentacles (9th), slough (11th), mind swap (13th), insanity (15th), overwhelming presence (17th).

Bloodline Arcana: You have an unnatural amount of control over the necrophage. No necrophage creature will attack you unless you deal damage to it first and you ignore the creature’s immunity to mind-affecting effects. You may affect the necrophage creature with spells that would target its original (nor modified) creature type.

Bloodline Powers: While call upon the unnatural arcano-psychic powers of the void artifact. In so doing, you grow more under its control.

Touch of the Artifact (Su)

At 1st level, you can act as a psychic conduit of the void artifact tearing at the psyche of those nearby. You may target a creature within 30 feet that you can sense; that creature must succeed at a Will saving throw (DC = 10 + 1/2 your sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier) or it takes 1d2 Wisdom damage and is confused for 1 round. A successful saving throw negates the Wisdom damage and confusion but leaves the target shaken for 1 round. you can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Necrophagic Resistances (Ex)

At 3rd level, the necrophage begins to twist and change your body to better protect the artifact’s conduit. You gain resistance to cold 5 and a +2 bonus on saving throws against poison and disease. At 9th level, your resistance to cold increases to 10 and your saving throw bonuses increase to +4.

Spread the Necrophage (Ex)

At 9th level, you can transfer some of the psychic energy from the void artifact into a viable dead body with and create a necrophage creature. Doing so is a standard-action melee touch that provokes attacks of opportunity. See the infect with necrophage ability on page 4 under the necrophage infector. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 1/2 your sorcerer level.

Detect Hosts (Su)

At 15th level, the voice in your head guides you to the location of potential hosts of the necrophage. You are treated as having the lifesense universal monster ability with a radius of 30 feet instead of 60 feet. At 20th level, this extends to 60 feet.

True Void Conduit (Su)

At 20th level, you have become one with the void artifact, there is little separation between your mind and its. You gain immunity to cold, disease, mind-affecting effects and poison. You also no longer need to eat, sleep or breathe. Nor can you be killed until the void artifact has been destroyed. If you are killed you reform 1d4 days later at the base of the artifact. If the artifact is destroyed, you die immediately. Additionally, now your touch of the artifact deals Wisdom drain and a creature reduced to 0 Wis is turned into a necrophage creature of your choice.
