Spellmarked Warrior (Fighter Archetype)

Some spellcasters realize that their spells, summons, constructs and other creations may not be enough to protect them. So they make mystic pacts with warriors to bind them to their service and their protection.

Spellmarked (Su)

Beginning at 1st level, the spellmarked warrior is inscribed with runes and tattoos that bind them to a spellcaster. They gain a resistance bonus on saving throws against spells and spell-like abilities equal to 1/4 their class level. This bonus doubles against mind-affecting spells.

However, the spellmarked warrior automatically fails all saving throws on spells cast by their bonded spellcaster.

Additionally, the spellmarked warrior gains a bonus to Intimidate checks equal to 1/2 their class level as long as their markings are visible.

This ability replaces the bonus feat gained at 1st level and all instances of bravery for the fighter .

Mystic Defender (Su)

At 2nd level, the spellmarked warrior brings retribution to those that would harm their bonded spellcaster. They gain a bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to 1/2 their class level against any enemy that attacks their bonded spellcaster.

This ability replaces the bonus feat gained at 2nd level.

Keep Fighting (Su)

At 9th level, as long as their bonded spellcaster is alive and within 30 feet, the spellmarked warrior is treated as having ferocity.

Additionally, they can use a swift action to act normally on their turn.

This ability replaces the weapon training gained at 9th level for the fighter.

At 11th level, as long as their bonded spellcaster is within 30 feet, the spellmarked warrior can donate their hit points to the bonded spellcaster. As a swift action, the spellmarked warrior can give up to a number of hit points equal to their class level plus their Constitution modifier at once.

This ability replaces the armor training gained by the fighter at 11th level.
