Ancestral Conduit (Druid Archetype)

Ancestral conduits focus less on transforming their bodies into other creatures and more on inviting the spirits of their ancestors into their body for guidance and fortification.

An ancestral conduit has the following class features.

Spiritual: Ancestral conduits gain Knowledge (religion) as a class skill.

This alters class skills.

Sacred Council (Su)

At 1st level, as a move action, an ancestral conduit can call upon their ancestors to provide council. This advice grants the ancestral conduit a +2 bonus on any one d20 roll. This effect lasts for 1 round. An ancestral conduit can use this ability a number of times per day equal to their Wisdom bonus.

This replaces wild empathy and trackless step.

Spirit of the Warrior (Su)

At 12th level, as a swift action, an ancestral conduit can summon the spirit of a great warrior ancestor to allow it to possess them. The ancestral conduit gains a +4 enhancement bonus to their Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution, and a +4 natural armor bonus to AC. While possessed, the ancestral conduit’s base attack bonus equals their ancestral conduit level, and they gain the Improved Critical feat with a weapon of their choice. An ancestral conduit can use this ability for 1 round for every 2 ancestral conduit levels they possess. This duration does not need to be consecutive, but it must be spent in 1-round increments.

This replaces the druid’s ability to take the form of a Huge elemental or Huge plant gained at 12th level as well as the one additional use of wild shape gained at that level. (Ancestral conduits never gain the ability to assume the form of a Huge elemental or Huge plant creature, and they gain one less use of wild shape per day than normal.)

Spirit Walk (Su)

At 13th level, as a standard action, an ancestral conduit can become incorporeal and invisible. While in this form, an ancestral conduit can move in any direction and pass through solid objects. The ancestral conduit can take no action other than to move while in this form. They remain in this form for a number of rounds equal to their ancestral conduit level, but they can end this effect prematurely as a standard action. An ancestral conduit can use this ability once per day.

This replaces a thousand faces.

Spirit Strike (Ex)

At 15th level, any creature an ancestral conduit summons with a summon nature’s ally spell treats all of their natural weapon attacks as though they had the ghost touch special weapon quality.

This replaces timeless body.

Soul Scourge (Su)

At 20th level, as a standard action, an ancestral conduit can summon the spirits of their ancestors to attack in a ghostly barrage, creating physical wounds on creatures in the area. The scourge has a range of 100 feet and is a 20-foot-radius burst. The conduit is never affected by this ability, and they can exclude an additional number of creatures equal to their Wisdom modifier from this effect. All other creatures in the area of effect take 1d10 hit points of damage for every ancestral conduit level. A successful Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 ancestral conduit level + Wisdom modifier) reduces the damage to half. In addition to taking damage, any creature that does not succeed on their Will save gains a number of negative levels equal to the ancestral conduit’s Wisdom modifier. This ability can be used once per day.

This replaces the druid’s ability to use wild shape at will. (An ancestral conduit only gains seven total uses of their wild shape ability per day.)
