Vate

Vates are druidic prophets, sacrificing the shapechanging prowess of their peers for far greater mystic aptitude.

Class Skills: In addition to the normal druid class skills, vates receive additional class skills depending upon the mystery they select.

Mystery

A vate gains access to a small range of Oracle mysteries related to the natural world. A vate must pick one mystery upon taking her first level of vate. Once made, this choice cannot be changed.

Each vate must choose from among the following mysteries: Nature, Life, Solar, Heavens, Flame, Waves, Stone, Wind, Wood.

This ability replaces nature bond.

Spontaneous Casting

In addition, to summon nature’s ally spells, a vate can channel stored spell energy into mystery spells she hasn’t prepared ahead of time. She can “lose” a prepared spell in order to cast any spell from her mystery bonus spells list of an equal or lower spell level.

Revelation

At 4th level and every three levels thereafter, a vate uncovers a new secret about her mystery that grants her powers and abilities. The vate must select a revelation from the list of revelations available to her mystery. If a revelation is chosen at a later level, the vate gains all of the abilities and bonuses granted by that revelation based on her current level. Unless otherwise noted, activating the power of a revelation is a standard action.

Unless otherwise noted, the DC to save against these revelations is equal to 10 + 1/2 the vate’s level + the vate’s Charisma modifier.

This replaces all instances of wild shape.

Final Revelation

At 20th level, a vate learns the final revelation about her mystery, granting her amazing powers and abilities. The vate receives the same final revelation as an oracle of her level and mystery.
