Beastshaper

While many druids choose to enjoy the benefits of an animal companion, beastshapers go a step beyond. Though they surrender the shapeshifting abilities of other druids, beastshapers instead are able to empower their animal companions to incredible new heights.

Class Features

Wild Bond (Ex)

A beastshaper druid may not select a domain and must choose an animal companion.

This ability replaces nature bond.

Endless Forms Most Beautiful (Su)

At 4th level, a beastshaper gains the ability to infuse her animal companion with some of the beneficial qualities of an animal once per day. Her options for new forms include all creatures with the animal type. This ability functions like the infuse fauna I spell, except as noted here. The effect lasts for 1 hour per beastshaper level, or until the beastshaper chooses to end it. This ability can only be used on the beastshaper’s animal companion and has a range of 25 feet + 5 feet for every two beastshaper levels. Using this ability is a standard action that doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity. The form chosen must be that of an animal the beastshaper is familiar with.

A druid can use this ability an additional time per day at 6th level and every two levels thereafter, for a total of eight times at 18th level. At 20th level, a beastshaper can use this ability at will.

As a beastshaper gains levels, this ability allows them to infuse their companion with the forms of larger and smaller animals. Each form expends one daily usage of this ability, regardless of the form taken.

At 6th level, a druid can use this ability to infuse her companion with a Large or Tiny animal, functioning like infuse fauna II.

At 8th level, this ability functions as infuse fauna III, allowing the beastshaper to infuse her companion with elements from a Huge or Diminutive animal, or a Small or Medium magical beast.

At 12th level, this ability allows the beastshaper to infuse her companion with elements from a Tiny or Large magical beast, functioning as infuse fauna IV.

This ability replaces wild shape.
