Serenader

One of the strongest magical powers is control over the mind. The serenader takes this to an extreme, charming with both magic and mundane guile; he is so charismatic that eventually he can enthrall others completely.

The serenader is an archetype of the bard class.

Silver Tongue Adept

At 1st level, a serenader adds half his level (minimum 1) as a bonus on all Diplomacy skill checks.

This ability replaces bardic knowledge.

Bardic Performance

A serenader gains the following types of bardic performance.

Serenade: A serenader of 1st level can use his music to charm and enamor others. He targets a single creature within 30 feet that can see and hear him. This creature must make a Will save (DC = 10 + the bard’s level + the bard’s Charisma modifier) or be charmed by the bard, as the charm person spell, for the duration of the bard’s performance. The effect immediately ends if the bard or his allies attack the target. At 5th level and every 6 levels thereafter, a serenader can affect an additional creature within 30 feet with this performance at the same time.

This ability replaces inspire courage.

Song of Devotion: A serenader of 14th level can spin a tune so beautiful that it causes a creature to devote itself to him entirely. He must perform for 3 consecutive rounds as a standard action each round and then targets a single creature within 30 feet that can see and hear him. This creature must make a Will save (DC = 10 + the bard’s level + the bard’s Charisma modifier) or be dominated by the bard, as the dominate person spell. The serenader must spend 3 uses of bardic performance each day maintaining the effect; as long as he does this, the song of devotion is permanent. The effect immediately ends if the bard or his allies attack the target. He may only have one creature under this effect at a time.

This ability replaces frightening tune.

Hard to Charm

At 2nd level, a serenader gains a +4 bonus on saving throws against charm and compulsion effects.

This ability replaces well-versed.

Silver Tongue Master

At 5th level, a serenader becomes a master of guile and can take 10 on any diplomacy check he makes as long as he has ranks in the skill.

This ability replaces lore master.
