Critical Siphon (Su)

Prerequisite(s): Magus 15, Critical Strike

Benefit(s): Whenever the magus scores a critical hit with a melee weapon against an opponent with a magical reserve of energy, such as an arcane pool, arcane reservoir, or ki pool, he may immediately attempt to siphon off a portion of this energy as a free action. The target of this attack must make a Will saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 the magus’ level + the magus’ Int modifier) or lose 1d4 points from their energy pool. This energy is absorbed by the magus, restoring the same amount to their arcane pool. The magus may not exceed his normal maximum number of arcane pool points.
