There are wise knights that recognize that any mortal individual or institution can become corrupt. These tireless pursuers of rationality and justice choose to dedicate themselves to serving the highest lawful authorities in existence: the axiomites and inevitables.
The lawbringer gains an outsider steed crafted for him by axiomites. This mount functions as a druid’s animal companion using the cavalier’s level as his effective druid level, except it possesses the construct companion animal companion archetype.
Cavaliers of this order tend to be serious and unbending in their pursuit of justice. A lawbringer cavalier must belong to the order of the lawbringers.
Edicts: The order of the lawbringers cavalier must retain a Lawful alignment. He must obey the rules of any lawfully empowered authority and the orders of any inevitables or axiomites of a rank higher than an arbiter inevitable. They are expected to oppose Chaos whenever possible. In situations where there is a disagreement between mortal authorities and the inevitables, the orders of the axiomites and inevitables take precedent.
Challenge: Whenever an order of the lawbringers cavalier issues a challenge, he receives a +1 morale bonus to AC against all attacks made by the target of his challenge, as long as he is the only creature threatening the target. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels the cavalier possesses.
Class Skills: The order of the lawbringers cavalier adds Disable Device and Knowledge (planes) to his list of class skills. Whenever the cavalier uses Sense Motive to oppose a Bluff check, he receives a competence bonus on the check equal to ½ his cavalier level (minimum +1).
An order of the lawbringers cavalier receives the following abilities as he increases in level.
Armor of Order At 2nd level, the order of the lawbringers cavalier is gifted with a special suit of masterwork full-plate armor hand crafted by axiomites. The plate is specifically decorated to be extremely reminiscent of an inevitable and serves as a badge of office for the order of lawbringers. Selling the armor counts as a violation of the cavalier’s edicts, and if the armor is lost, the cavalier is expected to retrieve it, or pay the axiomites to have it replaced. The armor is designed to lock into the cavalier’s inevitable mount. The cavalier may secure or unsecure himself to his mount as a move action. As long as he is secured in this manner, he cannot fall off of his mount or be unseated.
Touch of the Axiomite: At 8th level, the order of the lawbringers cavalier’s armor of order is changed by the axiomites to either adamantine or mithral, whichever he prefers. Furthermore, he is gifted with the tools and understanding that he requires to modify his armor and mount. He counts as having the Craft Magic Arms and Armor and Master Craftsman feats for the purposes of enchanting his armor of order and his inevitable mount (which counts as a masterwork armor or weapon for these purposes). If he already possesses these feats, Spellcraft checks made to enchant his armor or his mount are made with a +4 bonus.
Avatar of Order: At 15th level, as long as the order of the lawbringers cavalier is locked onto his inevitable mount and has issued a challenge, his armor grants him some of the immunities of the inevitables. He is immune to death effects, disease, paralysis, poison, sleep, and stun. Furthermore, he is not subject to nonlethal damage, ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, or death from massive damage. If the order of the lawbringers cavalier is experiencing any of the above negative status conditions prior to the issuing of the challenge, they are suppressed for the duration of the challenge. Effects with a duration longer than the cavalier’s challenge duration may affect him after the challenge has ended.
