Warmachine

Check out a Warmachine Build on the Open Gaming Network Blog!

Some warriors forsake their humanity for the cold efficiency constructs display during combat.

Class Skills: A warmachine adds Knowledge (arcana) to his list of class skills and removes Handle Animal from his list of class skills.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

A warmachine is proficient with all simple and martial weapons. He is proficient with light armor, medium armor, and shields, except tower shields.

Transformation (Ex)

A warmachine is a living creature that is transformed into a blend of mortal and construct. Undergoing the process of becoming a warmachine is a harrowing experience that often leaves the individual mentally scarred. A warmachine gains the half-construct subtype in addition to his base creature type. This qualifies him for any class or feat that requires the half-construct type as a prerequisite. He gains a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against disease, mind-affecting effects, poison, and effects that cause either exhaustion or fatigue. He cannot be raised or resurrected. He does not need to breathe, eat, or sleep unless he wants to gain some beneficial effect from one of these activities. One of the warmachine’s mental ability scores gains a permanent -2 penalty, representing brain damage, madness, or a loss of appearance.

This ability replaces the fighter bonus feat gained at 1st level.

Bonus Feats

In addition to combat feats, a warmachine may choose any feat that has the half-construct subtype as one of his fighter bonus feats.

Indomitable (Ex)

Starting at 2nd, a warmachine gains a +1 bonus on Will saves against mind-affecting effects. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels beyond 2nd.

This ability replaces bravery.

Warmachine Armor (Ex)

At 2nd level, a warmachine gains a +2 enhancement bonus to natural armor. Every four levels thereafter (6th, 10th, 14th and 18th), this enhancement bonus increases by +2.

This ability replaces armor training 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Metal Body (Ex)

At 19th level, the warmachine’s skin turns to plated steel and his organs become a magical clockwork system. The warmachine gains DR 10/adamantine.

This ability replaces armor mastery.
