Demonic Companions

Warlocks with an abyssal patron can select from among the following when summoning a demon companion.

Babau

Starting Statistics

Size small; Speed 30 ft.; AC +4 natural armor; Attack 2 claws (1d4); Ability Scores Str 15, Dex 10, Con 14, Int 9, Wis 10, Cha 13; Special Attacks sneak attack (1d6); Immune electricity, poison; Resist acid 10, cold 10, fire 10; Special Qualities darklight vision 30 ft.

7th-Level Advancement

Size medium; AC +4 natural armor; Attack bite (1d6), 2 claws (1d6); Ability Scores Str +4, Dex -2, Con +4; Special Attacks sneak attack (2d6); Special Qualities protective slime.

Protective Slime (Su)

Any creature that strikes a babau with a natural attack or unarmed strike takes 1d8 points of acid damage from this slime if it fails a DC 10 + 1/2 hit dice + Constitution modifier Reflex save. A creature that strikes a babau with a melee weapon must make a Reflex save or the weapon takes 1d8 points of acid damage; if this damage penetrates the weapon’s hardness, the weapon gains the broken condition. Ammunition that strikes a babau is automatically destroyed after it inflicts its damage.

Succubus

Starting Statistics

Size medium; Speed 30 ft., fly 50 ft. (average); AC +4 natural armor; Attack 2 claws (1d6); Ability Scores Str 8, Dex 12, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 10, Cha 15; Spell-like Abilities 3/day charm monster, 3/day suggestion; Immune electricity, fire, poison; Resist acid 10, cold 10; Special Qualities darklight vision 30 ft., constant detect good, constant tongues.

7th-Level Advancement

AC +2 natural armor; Attack bite (1d6), 2 claws (1d6); Ability Scores Str +2, Con +4, Cha +2; Spell-like Abilities at will charm monster, at will suggestion; Special Attacks energy drain.

Energy Drain (Su)

A succubus drains energy from a mortal she lures into an act of passion, such as a kiss. An unwilling victim must be grappled before the succubus can use this ability. The succubus’ kiss bestows one negative level. The kiss also has the effect of a suggestion spell, asking the victim to accept another act of passion from the succubus. The victim must succeed on a Will save to negate the suggestion. The DC for the Fortitude save to remove a negative level and to negate the suggestion is equal to 10 + 1/2 hit dice + Charisma modifier.

Vrock

Starting Statistics

Size large; AC +2 natural armor; Attack bite (1d8), 2 claws (1d6), 2 talons (1d6); Ability Scores Str +8, Dex -2, Con +4; Special Attacks stunning screech.

Stunning Screech (Su)

Once per day, a vrock can emit a shrill screech. All creatures except demons within a 30-foot-radius spread must succeed on a Fortitude save or be stunned for 1 round. The save DC is equal to 10 + 1/2 hit dice + Constitution modifier.

Quasit

Starting Statistics

Size tiny; Speed 20 ft., fly 50 ft. (perfect); AC +2 natural armor; Attack 2 claws (1d3 + poison [frequency 1 round(6), effect 1 Dex damage, cure 1 save, Con-based DC]); Ability Scores Str 15, Dex 10, Con 15, Int 7, Wis 12, Cha 12; Immune electricity, poison; Resist acid 10, cold 10, fire 10; Special Qualities darklight vision 30 ft.
