Witch

Alignment: Any

Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s witch class levels learns all witch spells their mentor has currently prepared, adding them to their list of spells known for the day. The apprentice casts spells learned from a witch mentor as arcane spells. Spells cast this way use the apprentice’s Charisma regardless of what ability their mentor uses to modify their spells. This ability does not allow an apprentice to cast spell they cannot learn due to their Charisma score or level. Apprentices treat spells learned this way just as any other spontaneous spell caster would their spells known. Your caster level is equal to your apprentice level, and your save DCs and concentration checks are Charisma-based. You’re considered to have the witch spell list for purposes of spell completion items and spell trigger items.

Advanced Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s witch class levels and chooses witch for their advanced mentorship ability for the day gains the witch‘s hex class feature. The apprentice gains one hex for every three apprentice levels he possesses. The apprentice must select hexes known by his mentor. The apprentice cannot select major or grand hexes to learn. When determining the effects of an apprentice’s hexes, the apprentice’s effective witch level is equal to his apprentice level minus 3. The save DC and effects of an apprentice’s hexes are Charisma-based and not Intelligence-based.

Cooperation Power

Key ability: Intelligence

Apprentices who study a mentor’s witch class levels and chooses witch for their cooperation power may spend a cooperation point as an immediate action when they or an ally uses a hex to increase the save DC of that hex by 2.
