Summoner

Alignment: Any

Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s summoner class levels learns all summoner spells their mentor knows, adding them to their list of spells known for the day. The apprentice casts spells learned from a summoner mentor as arcane spells. Spells cast this way use the apprentice’s Charisma regardless of what ability their mentor uses to modify their spells. This ability does not allow an apprentice to cast spell they cannot learn due to their Charisma score or level. Apprentices treat spells learned this way just as any other spontaneous spell caster would their spells known. Your caster level is equal to your apprentice level, and your save DCs and concentration checks are Charisma-based. You’re considered to have the summoner spell list for purposes of spell completion items and spell trigger items.

Advanced Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s summoner class levels and chooses summoner for their advanced mentorship ability for the day can command their mentor’s eidolon. An eidolon commanded this way may make a single standard or move action on each of the apprentices turns. If the apprentice is not in the presence of his mentor’s eidolon or the apprentice’s mentor does not currently have an eidolon, the apprentice instead gains the summoner‘s summon monster I class feature. When determining the powers of the apprentice’s summon monster, the apprentice’s effective summoner level is equal to her apprentice level minus 3.

Cooperation Power

Key ability: Charisma

Apprentices who study a mentor’s summoner class levels and chooses summoner for their cooperation power may spend a cooperation point as an immediate when another ally, eidolon, or summoned monster would take damage that would reduce it to 0 or fewer hit points. When they do, the apprentice can sacrifice any number of hit points. Every two hit points sacrificed this way prevents 1 point of damage.
