Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s shifter class levels gains the shifter‘s shifter aspect class feature. The apprentice learns only one aspect and must select one of his mentor’s aspects. When determining the number of minutes per day an apprentice can use a shifter aspect and the power of an apprentice’s aspect, the apprentice’s effective shifter level is equal to half his apprentice level (minimum 1). This ability is the same whether the apprentice’s mentor was a rogue or unchained rogue.

Advanced Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s shifter class levels and chooses shifter for their advanced mentorship ability for the day gains the shifter‘s wild shape class feature. When determining the number of hours per day an apprentice can use wild shape and the effects of an apprentice’s wild shape, the apprentice’s effective shifter level is equal to his apprentice level minus 3. The apprentice uses his Charisma instead of his Wisdom for determining how many hours per day the apprentice can wild shape.

Cooperation Power

Apprentices who study a mentor’s shifter class levels and chooses shifter for their cooperation power may spend a cooperation point as a standard action to grant himself or a willing ally he touches two natural claw attacks for one minute. The claws on each hand can be used as a primary natural attack, dealing 1d4 points of piercing and slashing damage (1d3 if he or she is Small). If he or she uses one of their claw attacks in concert with a weapon held in the other hand, the claw acts as a secondary natural attack instead.
