Magus

Alignment: Any

Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s magus class levels learns all magus spells their mentor has currently prepared, adding them to their list of spells known for the day. The apprentice casts spells learned from a magus mentor as arcane spells. Spells cast this way use the apprentice’s Charisma regardless of what ability their mentor uses to modify their spells. This ability does not allow an apprentice to cast spell they cannot learn due to their Charisma score or level. Apprentices treat spells learned this way just as any other spontaneous spell caster would their spells known. Your caster level is equal to your apprentice level, and your save DCs and concentration checks are Charisma-based. You’re considered to have the magus spell list for purposes of spell completion items and spell trigger items.

Advanced Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s magus class levels and chooses magus for their advanced mentorship ability for the day gains the magusspell combat class feature. When using spell combat, the apprentice takes an additional -2 penalty to all attack rolls. This additional penalty is reduced to -1 at 13th level and at 17th level the apprentice takes no additional penalty when using spell strike. An apprentice may only cast spells on the magus spell list while using spell combat but these spells do not need to be ones learned from a magus mentor.

Cooperation Power

Key ability: Intelligence

Apprentices who study a mentor’s magus class levels and chooses magus for their cooperation power may spend a cooperation point as an immediate action when he or an ally casts a touch spell to grant the caster the magusspellstrike class feature for the delivery of that spell. A spell delivered in this way does not need to be on the magus spell list.
