Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s gunslinger class levels gains proficiency with all firearms, as well as gunsmithing and amateur gunslinger as bonus feats. When determining the maximum number of grit points the apprentice can have and the effects of his gunslinger deed, the apprentice uses his Charisma in place of his Wisdom. In addition, the apprentice may wield the mentor’s starting firearm with treating it as if it had the broken condition.

Advanced Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s gunslinger class levels and chooses gunslinger for their advanced mentorship ability for the day gains the gunslinger‘s deeds class feature. When determining which deeds the apprentice can perform, the apprentice’s effective gunslinger level is equal to his apprentice level minus 3. Just like the deeds gained through the amateur gunslinger as bonus feat, the apprentice’s deeds use his Charisma in place of his Wisdom.

Cooperation Power

Key ability: Wisdom

Apprentices who study a mentor’s gunslinger class levels and chooses gunslinger for their cooperation power may spend a cooperation point as a free action to grant himself or an ally one grit or panache point. The ally must have a grit or panache pool to regain the grit or panache point and this ability cannot be used to gain more points than his or her maximum.
