Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s cavalier class levels gains the cavalier‘s challenge class feature. When determining the damage of the apprentice’s challenge and the number of challenges per day an apprentice can make, the apprentice’s effective cavalier level is equal to half his apprentice level (minimum 1).

Advanced Mentorship Ability

Apprentices who study a mentor’s cavalier class levels and chooses cavalier for their advanced mentorship ability for the day gains the cavalier‘s order class feature. The apprentice must select the same order as his mentor. When determining which order abilities the apprentice gains and those abilities’ effects, the apprentice’s effective cavalier level is equal to his apprentice level – 3. The apprentice gains the challenge power and order abilities of his mentor’s order but does not gain additional class skills. While utilizing the powers of a cavalier’s order, the apprentice must uphold that order’s edicts. If he does not, the apprentice loses all benefits of the cavalier order.

Apprentices who study a mentor’s cavalier class levels and chooses cavalier for their cooperation power may spend a cooperation point as a free action to add mount and mount, communal to their list of spells known until the end of their next turn.
