Devoted Theurge (Theurge [New Paths Compendium])

A devoted theurge is a vessel for the prayers and study of their deity. Their arcane competency and study in incidental and for furthering their deity’s goals and aims.

Spellcasting

If the devoted theurge also has the versatile theurge archetype, they must choose divine as one of their two spellcasting types. Additionally, when preparing spells, the devoted theurge must prepare divine spells with the higher number of base spell slots.

This ability modifies spells but does not prevent another archetype that modifies or replaces this ability except the theurge must have access to divine spells.

Theurgic Devotion (Su)

At 2nd level, the devoted theurge gains one of the following feats as a bonus feat: Celestial Obedience, Deific Obedience, Fey Obedience, Fiendish Obedience, Monitor Obedience. They need not meet the skill prerequisites but must worship the requisite entity.

At 6th level (or 8th level if they select a feat other than Deific Obedience), they gain the benefits of the first boon offered by their faith, selecting between the Evangelist, Exalted, and Sentinel boons at this level (these determine all other boons the devoted theurge receives). At 10th level (or 12th level if they select a feat other than Deific Obedience), they gain the benefits of the second boon, and at 14th level (or 16th level if they select a feat other than Deific Obedience) they gain the third boon.

This ability replaces scribe scroll, combined spell, and spell synthesis.

Innate Spell (Sp)

A devoted theurge must select divine spells for their innate spell. Otherwise this operates as the theurge ability of the same name.

This ability modifies innate spell but does not prevent another archetype that modifies or replaces this ability.

High Devotion (Su)

At 20th level, the devoted theurge becomes a living vessel of their deity. You gain one additional use of each of the spell-like abilities of their first boon, if applicable.

Additionally, they may apply a metamagic feat they know to a spell they are about to cast. This does not alter the level of the spell or alter the casting time. The devoted theurge can apply a metamagic feat in this way a number of times per day equal to their Intelligence modifier.

This ability replaces master theurge.
