Fanatic

Some priests use their holy power to smite the enemies of their faith, with less focus on healing the weak. Sometimes the easiest way to protect the allies of one’s faith is to hunt down the enemies.

Holy Fire (Su)

A fanatic may smite her foes with a column of divine fire. As a standard action that provokes an attack of opportunity, a priest may evoke a vertical column. This is a 40-ft. high cylinder with a 10-ft. radius and a medium range (100 ft. + 10 ft./ level) that deals 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two priest levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). This damage is directly from divine power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to fire-based attacks.

A priest may use holy fire a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier.

A priest must be able to present her holy symbol to use this ability.

This ability replaces channel energy. Any favored class bonus or dogma that affects channel energy affects holy fire instead.
