Shadow of Death (Su)

Prerequisite: Path of the Eternal Night

Benefit: The nightblade can partially absorb the life force of a slain creature to fuel her shadow magic. Whenever the nightblade successfully uses her powered by death spell-like ability, she also gains a shadow surge. This surge does not count against her normal maximum of surges she can have at once, but the surge must be spent within 1 minute or it is lost.
