The ghoul’s touch erodes the target’s confidence, awakening inner fears.

Requirement: Ghoul HD 3

Effect: The subject takes 2d6 points of non-lethal damage and is shaken for 1d6+1 rounds. A successful Will saving throw halves the damage and negates the shaken condition.

Improved Loss

The attack deals 1d6 extra points of non-lethal damage for every 2 Hit Dice the ghoul has after 1st (3d6 at 3rd, 4d6 at 5th, and so on) and the target becomes frightened instead of shaken. A successful saving throw halves the damage and reduces the condition to shaken for 1 round.

Gain and Loss

If the target fails his saving throw against this effect, the ghoul gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws and skill checks for 1 minute. When saving against fear effects, the morale bonus to saving throws is +6 instead.
