The ghoul’s touch renders the target detached from his surroundings, unable to act.

Requirement: Ghoul HD 3

Effect: The target is dazed for 1d4 rounds. A successful Will saving throw negates this effect.

Improved Loss

The target also suffers 1d4 points of Charisma damage. A successful saving throw halves the Charisma damage (minimum 1) and negates the daze effect. A creature whose Charisma is reduced to 0 by this effect becomes catatonic, unable to act in any way until he recovers at least 1 point of Charisma.

Gain and Loss

If the target fails his saving throw against this effect, the ghoul gains a +4 competence bonus on all Charisma-based skill checks for 10 minutes and is under the effects of haste for 1 round per Hit Die of the target.
