Before Combat The legendary investigator is not inherently a fighter. While she is not above taking down a bad guy, she would rather avoid conflict and will use all of her skills and guile to do so. If the legendary investigator is aware of an unavoidable, impending combat, she will use her heightened awareness and shield extracts to give her better initiative and more protection. If she thinks she will need the extra boost in combat versus a later investigation, she will down her potion of fox’s cunning.

During Combat The legendary investigator will take her time to study her target and learn their weaknesses. She will open combat by activating her studied combat on the strongest-looking enemy. She will then focus her attacks there while keeping distance between her and any combatant. She will use her healing abilities on allies before herself because it is her duty.

Morale She will do anything in her power to heal allies, but she is not willing to sacrifice her own life needlessly. If she can retreat and find a better approach, she will. If she can survive an encounter, there will always be another opportunity to defeat her opponent.

The legendary investigator has an ever-curious mind and a thirst for solving mysteries. As long as the PCs are on the side of the law or give her a suitable gift of literature, for which she has a great interest in ancient epics and histories, she can be made friendly with a DC 12 Diplomacy check. If the PCs aid her in an investigation her disposition automatically changes to friendly. If at least friendly, the legendary investigator will write a letter of reference for any noble or government agency in the city which will aid in any Diplomacy check made with the person in question. Additionally, she will aid in any research done, granting the use of her Knowledge checks to the PCs once per week.

Otherwise, the legendary investigator will pass along information to the PCs if she thinks it will aid in one of her investigations.
