Aetheric Creature (CR +0 or +1)

Aetheric creatures are denizens of the rare borders where elemental power bleeds into the Ethereal Plane.

Creating an Aetheric Creature

“Aetheric” is an acquired simple template. This template can be applied only to a non-outsider that has none of the following subtypes: air, cold, earth, fire, or water.

Note Creatures with this template can be summoned using summoning spells but the caster must also have the Versatile Summon Monster or Versatile Summon Nature’s Ally feats.

Challenge An aetheric creature’s CR increases by 1 only if the base creature has 5 or more HD.

Speed The creature gains a fly speed equal to its base movement speed (good)

Senses The creature gains darkvision 60 ft.

Defensive Abilities The creature gains DR and resistance to force damage as noted on the table below.

Special The creature gains additional abilities as noted below.

Spell-like abilities The creature has a caster level equal to the creature’s hit dice and are useable at will.

1-4 2 Mage hand, open/close, scoop, telekinetic projectile as spell-like abilities
5-10 3/- 5 Deals +1 force damage with natural attacks
11+ 5/- 10 Attacks have the ghost touch special weapon quality
