Immunity to Spells (Ex)

A metal slime is immune to all spells that allow for spell resistance.


This teardrop shaped blob is composed of reflective, liquid metal. It has a surprisingly cheerful face.

Metal slimes are notorious monsters, not for their lethality but for their aggravating potential. They consider combat to be an advanced form of game, like playing tag, and often initiate fights only to run away immediately in the hopes of being chased. Such chases are often losing affairs, as a metal slime is both remarkably fast and has remarkable defenses. They are all but immune to magic, ignore weak blows entirely, and resist energy attacks. They have relatively low offensive potential, but can shoot rays of fire if pressed.

A metal slime can see, think and talk, unlike most other oozes. They rarely have anything to say, except occasional jabs and taunts, but do talk among themselves about the fun they have on chases.

Liquid Metal Slimes

A liquid metal slime is stronger than a regular metal slime and possesses a breath weapon. These are more likely to press an offense than a metal slime, and sometimes endanger communities in search of food. They are likely to flee a combat if enemies prove able to injure them. A liquid metal slime is treated as a metal slime with the advanced simple template and a breath weapon (40 foot line of fire, 10d6 damage, Ref DC 22 half). A liquid metal slime is a CR 12 creature.
