DESCRIPTION

Note The following spells are presented as an optional replacement for or supplement to the official animate objects spell. The gp value of the diamond dust necessary to make any of the following spells permanent (as per the permanency spell) is equal to 2,500 gp x the spell level (minimum 2,500 gp).

You imbue an inanimate object with mobility and a semblance of life. The animated object then immediately attacks whomever or whatever you initially designate.

An animated object can be of any non-magical material. You may animate a single Tiny object. The animated object gains its normal allocation of construction points based on its size, and you may distribute an additional number of construction points to the animated object equal to ½ your caster level (maximum 5 at 10th level). You can change the designated target or targets as a move action, as if directing an active spell. This spell can only affect unattended objects.

Objects animated must be separate and distinct. A caster cannot, for example, animate the wall of a building without animating the building entirely.

Animate objects can be made permanent with a permanency spell.

This spell functions as animate objects I, except that you can animate a single Small object or 2 Tiny objects.

Each animated object gains its normal allocation of construction points based on its size, and you may distribute a number of additional construction points among the animated objects equal to ½ your caster level (maximum 5 at 10th level).

Each animated object gains its normal allocation of construction points based on its size, and you may distribute a number of additional construction points among the animated objects equal to ½ your caster level (maximum 10 at 20th level).

DESCRIPTION

You imbue an unattended Diminutive object with mobility and a semblance of life. The animated object has no combat statistics and gains no construction points. It may only perform simple tasks related to its form as directed by you. Animated objects of this type may perform any simple task that does not require a skill check, such as an animated pair of scissors cutting cloth or an animated cup tipping itself over. If used to assist an individual making a skill check, the animated object adds a +2 competence bonus to the check.

This spell can only affect unattended objects. An object animated must be separate and distinct.

Lesser animate objects can be made permanent with a permanency spell.

Mythic Animate Objects I-VII

Animated objects you create with these spells receive the maximum number of hit points per level, gain a +4 bonus to their Strength ability scores, and have 1-½ times the normal base number of construction points based on their size (this does not include additional construction points allocated due to your caster level).
