Grasslands Prowler

While many rangers learn to adapt to the environments they encounter, grasslands prowlers make their home in the rolling plains. Using the terrain to enhance their fighting techniques, grasslands prowlers use fast movement to out-maneuver their foes.

The grasslands prowler is an archetype of the ranger class.

Grasslands Combat Style

A character with the grasslands combat style can choose from the following list:

At 2nd level, Aspect of the Beast, Improved Natural Weapon, Mobility, and Step Up.

At 6th level, he adds Eldritch Claws, and Following Step to the list.

At 10th level, he adds Multiattack, and Step Up and Strike to the list.

Fleet

The grasslands prowler gains Fleet as a bonus feat at 3rd level.

This ability replaces endurance.

Spellcasting

The grasslands prowler adds entangle, scent trail, haste, and greater invisibility to his spell list.

Favored Terrain

A grasslands prowler must select plains as his first favored terrain. Whenever he selects an additional favored terrain, his bonuses to initiative checks and Knowledge (geography), Perception, Stealth, and Survival checks gained from the plains favored terrain increase by +2.

A grasslands prowler may not increase the bonuses granted by any of her other favored terrains when he gains new favored terrains.

This modifies favored terrain.

Prowl

At 7th level, the grasslands prowler gains the fast stealth rogue talent and the trackless step druid ability.

These abilities replace woodland stride.

Pounce

At 16th level the grasslands prowler gains the pounce universal monster ability.

This ability replaces improved evasion.
