Steel Valkyrie





Steel valkyries are clerics that transmute their heavy armors to create wings of shining metal to emulate a valkyrie. They soar over the battlefield aiding fellow soldiers with their abilities to bring about war.

The steel valkyrie is an archetype of the cleric class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies

A steel valkyrie is proficient with all simple and martial weapons as well as light, medium and heavy armors, including shields (except tower shields).

Skills

Steel valkyries add fly to their list of class skills.

Diminished Spellcasting

A steel valkyrie may cast one fewer spell of each level than normal. If this reduces the number to 0, she may cast spells of that level only if her Wisdom allows bonus spells of that level.

War Domain

A steel valkyrie must select the war domain. The cleric must worship a deity with the war domain. The cleric may access any of the war domain‘s related subdomains but cannot select any other domains related to the subdomains other than the war domain. A steel valkyrie does not select any additional domains beyond that of the war domain.

A steel valkyrie treats her cleric level for all domain spells and abilities granted by the war domain or any of its subdomains as her steel valkyrie level +2. This does not grant her early access to powers nor spells.

This ability modifies domains.

Aura of Resolve (Su)

At first level a steel valkyrie emits a protective aura that grants the cleric a +2 sacred or profane bonus to Will saves. All allies within 20ft of the steel valkyrie gain a +1 sacred or profane bonus to Will saves. The bonus granted to both the steel valkyrie and her allies increases by +1 at 8th level and every five levels thereafter (max of +5 for the steel valkyrie and max of +4 for her allies at 18th level).

The good aligned steel valkyrie treats this bonus as a sacred bonus, while evil aligned steel valkyrie s treat this bonus as a profane bonus. A neutral aligned steel valkyrie treats this bonus as a sacred bonus if she chooses to channel positive energy, or treats this bonus as a profane bonus if she chooses to channel negative energy.

Divine-Forged Feathers (Su)

Starting at 4th level the steel valkyrie gains a +1 deflection bonus to AC while wearing heavy armor. This bonus increases by +1 at 8th level and every 4 levels thereafter (max of +5 at 20th level).

Fighter Training (Ex)

Starting at 6th level the steel valkyrie counts her steel valkyrie level as her effective fighter level -4 for the purposes of qualifying for feats.

Wings of Steel (Su)

Starting at 8th level the steel valkyrie can cause metallic wings to grow from the back of her armor, granting her a fly speed of 40ft. The steel valkyrie may use this ability a number of minutes per day equal to her steel valkyrie level. these minutes need not be consecutive but must be spent in one minute increments. If the steel valkyrie is wearing heavy armor, she takes no penalty to this fly speed due to wearing heavy armor.

Aura of War Revelry (Su)

Starting at 14th level the steel valkyrie begins to emit an aura that bolsters her combat prowess when she receives damage. Whenever the steel valkyrie receives damage in combat, she gains a +2 morale bonus to attack and damage rolls for one round. This bonus increases to +3 at 17th level and to +4 at 20th level. Whenever she takes damage in combat, allies within 20ft of the steel valkyrie gain a morale bonus equal to half the bonus this ability grants the steel valkyrie.
