Kahuna

A kahuna is easily mistaken as a hermit or a druid. Her power comes from the natural world, not from deific blessings.

Nature Bond

A kahuna forms a bond with nature. This bond can take two forms. The first is a close tie to the natural world, granting the kahuna two of the following priest dogmas: Air, Animal, Earth, Fire, Plant, Water, or Weather. A kahuna that selects this option also spontaneously casts her dogma spells as a normal priest would.

The second option is to form a close bond with an animal companion. This functions in all the same ways as a druid’s nature bond animal companion. A kahuna’s effective druid level is equal to her priest level.

This ability replaces two of the priest’s dogmas.

Witchdoctor’s Hex

A kahuna is adept at a number of magic tricks, called hexes, that grant her powers or weaken foes. At first level, a kahuna gains one hex of her choice.

She gains an additional hex at 2nd level and every even level afterward. She cannot select an individual hex more than once. A kahuna selects her hexes from the witch’s list.

At 10th level and every even level afterward, she may choose a grand hex whenever she would gain a new hex.

Unless otherwise noted, using a hex is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. The save to resist a hex is equal to 10 + ½ the kahuna’s level + the kahuna’s Wisdom modifier.

This ability replaces channel energy.

Chemist

A kahuna is adept at making natural brews and remedies. Starting at 2nd level, a kahuna gains a bonus on Craft (alchemy), Knowledge (nature), and Heal checks equal to half of her priest level (rounded down). In addition, she may make these skill checks untrained.

This ability replaces religious study.
