Urban

The Urban terrain gives the following bonuses:

Soul of the Land: the shaitan adds the favored terrain bonus to her Appraise checks.

Protection of the Land: the shaitan is constantly under the effect of cultural adaptation, appropriate for whichever settlement she is currently in.

Power of the Land: when the shaitan casts a spell from the healing subschool, she adds half the favored terrain bonus to her caster level.

Ward of the Land: the shaitan adds one-fourth her terrain bonus (rounded down, minimum 1) to her armor class and all saves.

Channeled Leyline: the shaitan can transform her elemental servant in a lythic. At 7th Hit Die, it becomes large.

Ley Assault: the following abilities become available with Ley Assault when Urban terrain is selected:

Zeitgeist

The shaitan calls the fury of the collective soul of the city against a single target within 30 feet. Zeitgeist deals 1d8 points of nonlethal damage per shaitan HD to the target and makes all inhabitants of the settlement it is used in act as two categories less friendly towards the target for the next 24 hours. The target can attempt a Will saving throw to negate this last effect. Should the save be unsuccessful, the target is driven away by the very spirit of the city, suffering 1 point of ability drain to all ability scores immediately, and once again for each hour spent in the settlement, until either 24 hours have passed or the target leaves the settlement. This drain cannot be healed normally until zeitgeist is in effect, but is instantly removed once the 24-hour period is over. Should the target leave the settlement, the ability drain is temporarily removed, but resumes as soon as it returns to the settlement if zeitgeist is still in effect. If a creature has any ability score reduced to 0 by zeitgeist, it is exiled from the city, being randomly teleported 2d6x10 miles away from the settlement in a random direction, possibly facing further danger. If used in a village or smaller settlement, zeitgeist deals 1d6 damage per shaitan HD instead. If it is used in a large city or larger settlement, zeitgeist deals 1d12 damage per shaitan HD instead. Using zeitgeist consumes 3 Ley points, and requires the shaitan to be in an urban terrain.

Murder

The shaitan summons the malevolent energies of crime, giving them an almost tangible form. Murder summons a dark, spectral figure that moves towards a designated target within 30 feet and performs a touch attack against it, using the shaitan’s HD as attack bonus. If the touch is successful, the target must make a Fortitude saving throw. On a successful saving throw, the target suffers 3d6 points of damage. On a failed saving throw, the target is brought to –1 hit points and is dying. If used in an urban terrain, the dark spectre remains summoned for up 1 round per shaitan HD and the shaitan can direct it to attack another target within 30 feet using a full-round action. Regardless of the result of the saving throw, a creature targeted by murder cannot be targeted again by the same shaitan with this ability for the next 24 hours. Using murder consumes 2 Ley points.

Parade

The shaitan summons the chaotic energies of thrill and excitement through the city, taking the form of colored bursts of light and sound accompanied by a cloud of small objects moving at high speed. The objects deal 1d4 points of damage for every 2 shaitan level (maximum 5d4) to all creatures in a 30-foot radius burst. Furthermore, the bursts of color and sound can distract these creatures for 1 round unless they make a Will saving throw. If distracted, a creature does not threaten squares within its reach, losing its ability to perform attacks of opportunity and flank opponents, and must make a concentration check to cast spells, with DC equal to 10 + the favored terrain bonus for urban terrain + twice the spell level. Using parade consumes 1 Ley point.

Leyline Blessing: the following abilities become available with Leyline Blessing when Urban terrain is selected for Ley Assault:

Great Wall

The shaitan calls into place a defensive structure, secure against various kinds of dangers. The shaitan can choose to create a long-duration effect, which emulates the effects of secure shelter, but also providing nondetection to any creature inside the little building that is created. Alternatively, she can create a safe zone around herself, erecting a circular wall of stone 10 feet tall and 3 inches thick, delimiting a 20-feet radius area around her and providing the effects of globe of invulnerability in that area. This effect lasts 10 minutes per shaitan HD. Alternatively, she can create an immobile prismatic sphere surrounding herself, which lasts for 7 rounds before vanishing. No matter the chosen effect, great wall costs 3 Ley points and can be used only if the shaitan is in an urban terrain.

Urban Vitality

The shaitan channels the inexhaustible energy of a bustling city in a touched creature for 1 minute per shaitan HD. Whenever the target would regain hit points while this effect is in place, it regains an extra 2d8 hit points if the healing effect is based on dice, or extra hit points equal to the favored terrain bonus for urban terrain if the healing effect does not roll dice to determine the healed amount. If urban vitality is used in an urban terrain, the target also instantly regains 2d8 + shaitan HD hit points. This is not a positive energy effect. Using urban vitality costs 2 Ley points.
