SPECIAL ABILITIES

N’gathau Mutilations

Lower right arm encased in latticework of wires and cables charged with electricity (deals 1d2 points of electricity damage with slam attack or metal weapon). Chest is pierced with rows of small upward curving hooks (grappled foe takes 1d2 points of piercing damage each round). Head has been seared—the ears are burned off, but the organs still there, so he can hear (+5 bonus to fire resistance). Thick copper wires charged with electricity wrapped around head and hooked into shoulders (immune to electricity and 1d2 points of electricity damage per round to anyone that grapples him). Right leg has been fully scarified in intricate designs and patterns.

Horrifying Appearance (Su)

The sight of Donlaan is so disturbing that any creature with fewer than 10 Hit Dice and Intelligence 3 or higher seeing him must make a successful Will save or be shaken for 1d6 rounds. Creatures with more than 10 HD are immune to this effect. On a successful save, the opponent is immune to the horrifying appearance of Donlaan for one day.

Exquisite Suffering (Su)

As a melee touch attack, Donlaan allows a creature to share in the sensations of his agony, thus overloading the senses of the opponent. The opponent must make a successful Will save (DC 18) or be stunned for 1 round. Creatures with more than 10 HD are immune to this effect. This is a mind-affecting attack and whether the save is successful or not, the creature is immune to the exquisite suffering attack of Donlaan for one day.

Cruelty’s Bliss (Su)

When Donlaan scores a successful critical hit against an opponent (with a weapon attack or a natural attack), he gains a +2 competence bonus to attack rolls, checks, and saves against that opponent for the remainder of the encounter. This bonus can only be gained once per combat against a particular opponent.

Delicious Agony (Su)

By making a successful grapple check against an opponent up to Large size, Donlaan can claw away a small portion of an opponent’s flesh and devour it. This attack deals 1d2 points of Constitution drain to the opponent. Donlaan heals 5 points of damage each time he drains Constitution points (regardless of the number of points drained). A creature without flesh (such as an ooze, skeleton, etc.) is immune to this effect.

Limited Immortality (Su)

When Donlaan is slain his form is taken before the Twelve, who decide whether he is condemned to an eternity of torture and suffering or whether he is reconfigured. A reconfigured creature remembers nothing of his previous existence and for all intents and purposes is an entirely new creature. All existing mutilations are removed and new ones are added (determined randomly or by DM choice).
