Aurochs (both singular and plural) are large herd animals similar to domesticated cattle. The mountain aurochs is a larger, shaggy version of an aurochs adapted to live the high valleys of the tallest peaks of the world. They retain their smaller cousins’ short temper and panic-prone nature, and can easily be provoked into a stampede.
